Introduction

Deindex is a consensus-driven, fully decentralized Bitcoin Inscriptions indexing network. It is not a blockchain, but it operates similarly to the Bitcoin blockchain, consisting of numerous network nodes. As the foundational infrastructure for the Bitcoin Scripture ecosystem, it provides stable, robust, and reliable indexing services for all applications based on Inscriptions.

Decentralized Node Network

Any node can freely join or leave the Deindex network. All nodes work together to discover and record the latest Inscriptions behaviors.

Consensus-Driven

Deindex employs a Delegated Proof-of-Stake (DPOS) consensus mechanism to record the latest Inscriptions behaviors generated during a certain period. The node that first discovers the behavior broadcasts it to all network nodes. Other nodes need to record and verify the latest Inscriptions behavior. If false broadcasting is detected, the staked funds of the broadcasting node will be deducted and distributed to the node that first raised the question. However, nodes raising questions are also constrained, and issuing false queries will be penalized. All Deindex network nodes must adhere to this consensus.

Node Incentives

Nodes that first broadcast Inscriptions behaviors and nodes that raise and confirm questions will receive node rewards. Rewards include record rewards and penalty rewards for a specific period.

Stable and Robust Indexing Service

The latest confirmed Inscriptions behaviors from across the network are fully recorded in a ledger maintained by the entire network. Any node joining the network can synchronize this information for its Inscriptions applications.

The measures of a node network with free entry and exit, consensus-driven node verification, and node incentives collectively maintain Deindex as the most up-to-date and stable indexing data network. The more consensus nodes, the more robust the network becomes.
